  • Rough travel up the Waikiti to Waikiti Hut.
  • Impressive Waikiti gorge.

  • Almost at the hut and looking for firewood.

  • Bushbashing up a spur on the true left of Logjam Creek the next morning. Later we found out that there is a good  marked trail in the vicinity.
  • Atmospehric views at bushline.
  • Sidling to the saddle with Rochfort Basin/Crane Creek.
  • Overlooking Rochfort Basin.
  • Descending to Rochfort Basin.
  • On the far end of the basin about to start a long bushbash down Crane Creek to the road.
  • Having failed to locate the very overgrown permolat route we opted for the riverbed. Further downvalley the trail became followable again.
